ereits 1962 entschied sich die Geschäftsleitung der PLANTA für die Einführung ausländischer Pfeifentabake in Deutschland. Besonders erfolgreich war die Lizenzproduktion der Marken RUM AND MAPLE und WELLAUER's English Blend, die sich in Deutschland schnell einen guten Namen machten und den Grundstein zur Expansion legten.
So zog man 1963 nach Berlin-Kreuzberg in eigene Räume in der Hagelberger Straße. Hier hat PLANTA bis heute ihren Haupt- und Geschäftssitz.

As early as 1962 the management of PLANTA decided in favour of the production of foreign pipe tobaccos in Germany under licence. The pipe tobaccos RUM AND MAPLE and WELLAUER’s ENGLISH BLEND proved most successful and soon gained a very good reputation all over Germany. They laid the foundation for our expansion, which required PLANTA to move to its own premises in Hagelberger Strasse in Berlin-Kreuzberg in 1963, where the headquarters and administration are still situated today.

The range of tobaccos became wider, e.g. the McLintock tobaccos were developed in cooperation with the influential trade association ERMURI at the end of the sixties.
